WATERCOLORS BY FRENCH QUARTER ARTIST TOMMY MCAFEE.
Mr. McAfee's initial connection with New Orleans occurred in 1942 when as a child his parents were visiting the city. He was particularly impressed as a teenager with the artists painting and displaying their work in narrow Pirate's Alley, along side the famed St. Louis Catheral.
He says " As I walk through the Vieux Carre on a daily basis, I continually find new scenes to paint and textured details that nourish my creativity." Mr. McAfee works exclusively in watercolors on rough textured paper. He is a familar face to his French Quarter neighbors and is a long time supporter of New Orleans's tourism industry.
All of these selected prints are signed and numbered from a limited edition of 175. Image size 15.5 X 10.5 on 13 X 19 inch paper.
