Book: Missing New Orleans $39.95

By Phillip Collier, Text J. Richard Gruber and Mary Beth Romig.
Forward by Pete Fountain

A pictorial history of the city, offering images and stories of places, entities and events that were once a vital part of the fabric of New Orleans. But because of man's decisions for the most part, they no longer exist. A fascinating book if you grew up here. Primarily a book of photographs with captions and intriguing chapters on eating, drinking and sleeping in New Orleans. Twenty two pages are on the cities past vices of all sorts. Created just before Hurricane Katrina but not yet printed the authors have added a chapter to illustrate what the storm added to "the missing list".

Paperback, 224 pages
