CRAWFISH BOIL: THE ABC’S OF A CRAWFISH BOIL
THREE OPTIONS:
A. We’ll ship you already boiled and seasoned crawfish overnight, ready
to peel and eat. In New Orleans, a crawfish boil usually includes boiled corn
on the cob, spicy red potatoes and frequently, smoked sausage. We can send
that along too, or you can get it yourself.
B. You boil the crawfish yourself. We’ll ship them to you live overnight
along with the suggested seasoning and tips for boiling the corn, potatoes
and sausage.
But you need to be sure you have a mighty big pot and a way to bring the water
to a constant boil. If you think you might want to do this again in the future,
we can acquire for you the big pot, the butane burner and serving trays.
C. We’ll do it all for you. You won’t have to do a thing, just
provide the backyard. park or hall. Ideal for large groups. Consider a crawfish
boil instead of a company picnic.
We will dispatch a road crew with their own kitchen trailer, to boil the seafood
and the other “fixings”. Your guests will be peeling and eating
the juicy critters within minutes after they come out of the pot. We need as
much advance notice as possible to make all the arrangements.
PRICES. They are too many variables in costs to include prices. Crawfish generally
are a seasonable item, (early spring to mid summer) but a few suppliers raise
farm crawfish year round. Crawfish cost less during mid season, and the quantity
and distance from New Orleans influence shipping costs and travel expenses
incurred by a road crew.
